I'm not going to lie, the energy in that Dirtyphonics show seemed absolutely ridiculous, I think it's due to the amount of guys recreating the song with such precision, I really can't deny the entertainment value in that, though I'm not sure if that level of entertainment would sustain after a long period of time.
Secondly, I agree with cmgoodman1226. Though I do realize that mixing a set of tracks perfectly and knowing when to play what track and where to play it does take a great deal of expertise and skill, I also feel that nothing can beat the talent required to master an instrument, and then write a piece of music on that instrument, and then perform it live in front of an audience (Obviously just my opnion, don't flame me for it, because I'm not saying that I'm right or wrong, because I'm neither, it's just the opinion of one person). I guess it's the fact that the music isn't being created live during a mix. It's just being replayed and synchronized with other pre-created tunes. To me, the element of creation within a live set really adds to the awe factor and thus the energy and overall entertainment of the viewer. Simply my opinion, nothing more nothing less.

What I wanna see in the future is artists actually playing a part of their song , like the lead or rhythm, during their set . Like my dad plays Latin music , and he has a midi file on his mini disc playing all the percussion and backing orchestra while he leads with a guitar and sings . I think it would be so sick if you could manually control a bass ryhtmm to a song playing it live. or like think of hearing Alicia with Mala actually playing that guitar/electric piano intro thing xD

Need to see these guys live, does anyone know what that white touch screen thing is that he's using?
