In my view One of Us was a bit of a transitional point for the genre, which is kinda special considering both Youngsta and Loefah had a hand in its coming to be. Prior to this album there weren't as many producers pushing this ultra-clean slant on the original sound (SP:MC, notably, made a lot of this sorta stuff before KM did). After that tons of producers started coming through with their own take on it and the original sound found its second wind (think we're now on the 2nd "generation" of post-One of Us producers breaking through; Compa, Killawatt, LAS, etc.).

got it for 25 on discogs. no poster though.
their disfigured dubz plate is heavy as well, the only KM 140 record i don't have (and don't need) is Time Flies.

hate is a strong word, i don't think i will ever hate a KM tune. i just didn't understand how they would choose to release that one, considering the amount of silly dubs they got in stock. the vocal sounds really flat and annyoing to me. instrumental is good, but i didn't feel to buy the record just for that.
