IDM is the best gen EVER.

Not suprise i try (and fail) to sound like they, and if i won the lottery, the first thing to buy is some great expensive and huge synths for acid and idm, a bunch o lsd and go to heaven playing it till the world ends. :cornlol:

My fail sounds for those who can be interessed:

@pistonebeneath oh my lord!!! this christ. stuff is brilliant! need to go and cop this, haha yeah i know what you mean, i tried to do a remix project with a mate once just a bit of fun, doing a complete remixed version of Geogaddi, I kinda felt like i was tearing apart my subconscious lol, so I stopped. But it would be interesting if done right.

I'm just hanging for new material!! Hoping their forthcoming album is like Geogaddi again. It was such a deep album with all those references to the occult and the whole sort of ethereal vibe with the samples from numbers stations and stuff. It's so relevant to british folklore and the countryside, it's crazy. It's one of those albums where like... when you listen to it it almost takes something out of you, in a good way, like you feel revitalized after listening.

They're English???

Anyway.

A bit OT- just did the coolest thing. Rue the whirl playing on itunes and youtube at the same time, pause one and line them up differently can make the drums really interesting, and somehow doesn't fuck up the melodic part.

edit- 12 seconds apart, as if anyone is even vaguely interested. Just sounds like a remix, kind of 2-steppy.

English/Scottish all the same island innit xD, think they've always lived in scotland? apparently their studio is proper in the countryside. theres a link on wikipedia of the place it's in, looks baron, wicked place to produce.

Have had Boards in heavy rotation since 2006, easily one of my all time favourites. Geogaddi's just full of it, Alpha and Omega, Julie and Candy, 1969, Dawn Chorus, You Could Feel The Sky - I don't think Boards know what "filler" means.

A new album's been rumoured for years so I'm not gonna hold my breath but if it's true... :h:

p.s. a lesser known remix:

Also stopped by here to send some love BOC's way.
Geogaddi is my favourite album of theirs.
I remember when The Campfire Headphase came out, it didn't receive as favourable reviews as their earlier work, but I thought it was up there with the rest of their material. Looking forward to hearing something new, for sure.
