Yeah techno and dub, but dubstep is (or was) closely related to both. I thought they fit in nicely here. I could see moving a thread about heavy metal into there or something... but I suppose metal now has more in common with a lot of the dubstep people are googling for.

I didn't even know they got moved into there, wow. I was wondering what happened to them, I thought people stopped posting. I forget about those links up top, because when I start to type 'du' into my address bar, it automatically autofills the SNH address and there's always some distracting thread title to be clicked immediately.

There's some really interesting threads in Other Music just on the front page. Getting rid of it altogether would be dumb, but a couple of the popular threads could have stayed on the front of SNH like the techno thread and the dub n roots thread which are always active, but I understand keeping things tidy is a big concern.

tbh i think everything none dubstep should go in the house forum- its practically "other music" already.

I was trying to do that in some threads in the Other Music but they started to wither and dry up due to lack of water in that barren landscape.

Some of those threads were thriving in the lush temperate climate of the SNHO.

i know what you mean, but we need more input from the regulars on this before we do it. if there's a clear majority in this thread that want it all together, then that speaks for itself. lets see what happens.

My favourite threads in the snho are the music ones, and they are always pretty popular, and as people have said they just wither away to nothingness in the deserted other music section.

So you get my vote to do away with it.

I don't think merging other music and snh is a great idea. The only way I could see this working is if there were a few stickied threads for "other" music in the snh. That way, we have a few active threads, as well as no additional clutter in the forum. For some reason, rolling threads have really caught on here lately, maybe genre specific ones could too.

Yeah like I said, I still don't think the two should be merged, but its better than x amount of new threads.

I didnt vote, i rekon the 'house' forum should be changed to 'other music' , so its all accessible on the main index.

Putting it all in SNH is a shit idea, that just makes it harder people to search for other music theads overall.

I'd have thought it'd be better to just post other music in the general discussion forum, either that or go back to when there was an 'other music' subforum on the main page and post EVERYTHING that isn't dubstep there, including house
