take or leave my advice but messing with FM synthesis and using different envelopes on each operators amplitude with help getting you a similar sound (if u dont wana use FM then use massive)
also to make the bass sound more unique.. loop the bass in your DAW and automate eq points one by one untill you get closer to the sound your after. automating the cutoff of a band pass filter might not be enough for this. some people will disagree and say nah its not that complicated but if you want your bass to sound better or more unique then try this.

sunny is right but you could use an additive synth too might be easier like morphine where you can see the spectrum bars and you move them up and down

Finally, its all about the groove less then the actual patches, use alot of envelope controls, really focus on getting something going that makes the head knod in halftime, from there nearly any patch you put to it will sound good. Most importantly when designing the patches though, aim for simplicity, dont over-unison/distort them too much, you dont want things to get too obnoxiously 'big' , lots of smooth lowpass automation...

Stop trying to cause an argument man, if you dislike the forum go hang at DOA. I was interested in how megaladon was making his sounds because they sounded unlike anything I'd heard before, thought maybe someone could give some in site, not really anything to be complaining about. I'm not trying to be fucking anyone apart from myself, but if I hear a sound I like, I'll try and recreate it, because, well, I like the fucking sound not because I'm trying to copy someone else's style. If you haven't got anything constructive to add, please go elsewhere. As for everyone complaining about what dubsteps turned into, who gives two shits about whats dubstep and what isn't anymore, the no requests tune is pretty cliched admittedly, however you can at least appreciate the amazing production in it can't you? Complaining about something isn't gonna make it any better, if your that fussed, do something about it.

not sure who that was for, but since u said it straight after i gave my advice
im 25 and iv been producing for nearly ten years. i obviously cant do everything single sound out there but i have no problem making most sounds so thats why i gave my two cents just to be helpful
i dont have a sig tune up therefore people will presume i cant do anything.. but here's a quick WIP of mine mostly done with an FM synth i made in synthmaker.

also the growls & monster sounds are done with just two sinewaves with 3xosc & plenty FX. not saying im any good but most people would rely on massive or fm8 for those kind of sounds, but yeah i mustn't know what im talking about when i give advice since us guys here can't do shit

OP, megaladon might be splitting the bass in to 3 and only putting reverb on the mids to get that thick sound? just a thought
