XMarks wrote:sweet thanks guys. and why limit yourself by not having metal in dubstep? you can mix anything if done well. if you think all dubstep shouldnt have even a guitar riff, than eat shit. everyones got a different taste and opinion. i happen to love metal and dubstep, so what if you dont. dubstep wouldnt sound good with real drum kits? maybe even a metal double kick before a drop? well i guess thats your own opinion "dubstep AND metal?! no way bro, that shits gay" close minded fuck heads. all i did was ask for metal with dubstep influences, why come in and criticize my first attempts in creating music? either reply to my thread or fuck off. /thread
mmmm check please
You're missing the point there buddy, it's not that anyone here has a problem with the mere idea metal being mixed with dubstep, it's just that those examples are shit dubstep and shit metal.
That being said, Vex'd used to bring the kind of raw, heavy intensity it sounds like you're looking for:
I come from a metal background, I was in Animals as leader and animosity.

You were honestly in Animals as Leaders? Why'd you go from making awesome music to making shitty brostep?

Oh god, people are so...upsetting
I remember when people thought nu-rave was cool and if you correctly told people it was a rancid chocolate turd cake they would say you needed to be more into this new genre that combined the worst elements of everything
actually brokencyde did that in a much worse fashion more recently too
I cba to post up the same videos i post up everytime someone stumbles onto this forum imagining how groundbreaking their idea is to mix skrillex and linkin park is
