FL Studio is a beast!

Cubicle, let me know when you get a chance to check it out, if it's what you needed :)
FL Studio is indeed a beast. It makes me laugh when people mock it, and have no fucking clue what they're on about.
FL studio sucks!!!!! ha just kidding.... I own it along with ableton and I have to say I like Ableton better but that's just my personal preference. I haven't gotten as advanced in FL yet. FL is in no way a worse DAW, but its a little more aimed at beginners IMO. A less intensive learning curve if you will.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's "Aimed at beginners" It's very Beginner friendly, and is pretty easy to learn, but I believe it's good for beginners and advanced users. That's what makes people think it's a cheesy, kids toy.. But I'm not ashamed of it one bit ;D

I feel like all DAW's are the same, with a different GUI (User interface) Some people work better with certain interfaces than others!

Ableton is nice, I just don't like the way arranging sounds works, with the clip view, and then the arrangement view.. And also the way the Synth and Drums stuff works, dragging one inside the other, and impulse, and all this different stuff.. I prefer simplicity, and FL succeeds at that.

I tried giving Reason a fair play, but it's Piano Roll just doesn't work out for me, FL Studio's Piano roll is so easy to use, not saying it's better, but for me it's perfect.

Cubase is also amazing, but the interface just seems like it needs an update? Haha.

Shit, Rusko still uses Sony Acid (Last time I checked) .. So I believe you could make some pro tunes in Audacity, (lol)

I apologize, It's a real burden but it's a massive classic tune here in Belgium (hence why there isn't alot of good music in Belgium) and I want to remix this in a hilarious way to play out or just for taking the piss.

I'm slowly becoming convinced that Image Line had some bogey version on their page when I got my trial and everyone else is using a super intuitive version that in some realm could be considered easier than Ableton. I've tried messing with it forever, but it seems like every time I click on anything (after finding it buried in menus) a new window pops open, ramming it's cock deeply into the ass of my workflow. And for some reason I still feel like it'll all make sense eventually.

If a windowed workflow is not what you are after, Fl is never going to be your DAW my friend. I personally love the way it operates, which is why it works really well for me. If a everything on one screen approach works for you, go for it man. It totally makes sense once you get into it, as I'm sure coming from another DAW instead of just starting on it makes it a little difficult too. :)

Totally feel constrained by one window layout. Just like the one button mouse. Fucking idiots... but it is one button, so it is simpler. Yeah, you have to use your other hand on the keyboard to get that right click but it is easier, it is one button! Same shit.

And again, that is just my opinion :)
