All my love goes to the off beat trap snares and rim shots scattered all over the place

Synthesizing =/= layering and processing samples.

+1 for CV. I also like Katharsys snares, similar to CV's, but with that Katharys signature sound to it.

Goin' oldskool here...

The Ludwig snare on this record has always, always stood out among snares for me. Best listened to on vinyl or cassette... digital loses the punch, but as there's no vinyl Chrome extension...

Snare that really caught my attention recently:
Soundcloud
The one that comes in at like 0:21. the one in the drop is good as well
The intro's beat in this track as well fucking blew my mind

:z: That crisp top-end clap, Wow! And the rev hat leading into it, 8) . Sends my whole body tingling. Stopped being a lurker due to the power of that snare/clap. Wot's up DSF'ers.

Its pretty cool to record your own snare sound like hitting a tree (kryptic minds lol) or like for a clap, slap your grandmama across the face. Scratch that last one. Didn't work. Just record something in the woods with a phone and an axe for hitting wood then enhance if shitty sounding, then EQ, processing, reverb, processing, processing, compressing, processing, processing. I think you got the point.

Cheers, :h: :w:
Oh and P.S., if recording in home studio use proper setups like padded/treated acoustic room if you can afford it and good percussion mics and noise captures and things of that nature. Good luck mates. RECORD YOUR OWN SNARES. IT MAKES A TUNE YOUR OWN TUNE. NO ONE ELSE WILL HAVE THE SAMPLE. Google Kryptic Minds Masterclass or youtube it.
