ooo we haven't had evil for a while,
particularly the cartoon kind
well Gabba Nudes, you have met your nemesis in the Bronze Surfer!

but I've been distracted from the theme
there's dense blackness every which way,
always has been & will,
within which there is nothing to wait for
a light comes on
we wander around looking at what's here & who is with us
for 80 years or so
then the light goes out
the dense blackness persists
within which there is nothing to wait for

Hey sd5. I think I know what you're getting at, reminded me of this quote:
“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”
― Mark Twain
Keep up the good work.

What is the difference between being created anew, or of being a piece of something pre-existent from which there is no memory?
Sometimes I think we just die [do not pass go, do not collect £200], sometimes I think consciousness is part of something eternal, each idea seems obvious.

You misunderstood what i meant.
I'm talking about emergent properties of atoms, many, many orders of magnitude larger.

Angst about whether we pre-exist or are created upon coming into life...
I agree is ultimately a waste of energy
and I guess that's my point.
But yours seems to be about atoms & physics.
You'll have to explain further if you want it to be understood.

This is like a curse, this is like a blessin'
I can hear your voice, I can feel your presence
You keep me confused, you keep me guessin'
But I'm back for seconds it's an obsession

As the shadows reach their zenith
On this, the last day of my journey,
I gaze upon withering petals.
Never to be part of a garland
But a flower none the less.

once & for all
it's not fucking poetry!
if anything,
it's a form of shorthand
or compressed prose
imo it's not poetry
just distilled thoughts
