Don't jump on the "SKRILLEX IS GAY" bandwagon just because he's "commercial now." Skrillex has given all dubstep producers further opportunities, and I think anyone can agree makes some pretty sweet tunes. It's not cool to dislike skrillex, so unless you truly despise his tunes I'd suggest to stop conforming

1. Genres are not defined by dynamics?
2. People dislike Skrillex's tunes, therefore they are trying to be cool? or trying to conform? Is it not more likely that they just don't like the music, and given that they are on dubstepforum.com, there might be another side to the sound overshadowed by people like Skrillex.
I hate being drawn into posting in threads like these.

And considering all of Skrillex's songs have millions of views on YT, I'd say not liking him is about anything but cool.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa..... whoa whoa.... whoa. Whoa there buddy. No one is trying to be "cool" by "hating" Skrillex. As a matter of fact, no one on this thread even said anything about hating Skrillex... in fact I like Skrillex myself.... The reason everyone is telling you to take this thread elsewhere is because the active members of this site don't come here to talk about that kind of music (Glitchy/noisy fast paced stuff), we come here to talk about Dubstep... I say this not to sound like an elitest... but you seriously cant tell me you hear NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MALA AND SKRILLEX.... thats just plain hard headed. Theres Dubstep and theres Brostep, not everyone hates brostep.... but its annoying to see it here on DSF because we came here to discuss Dubstep okay.

I have no bad words for Datsik.. he was the first producer I listened to.
Skrillex on the other hand - I never liked.

excisions still a better producer and dj than either of them...and he actually knows about the deep side of dubstep, just look at some of his older set lists or some of his songs like this
