dnb definately isnt getting as popular as house.
whenever you go to a standard rave, what are they playing? shitty house and techno, all night long. maybe some drum and bass at 7am if you're lucky, for 20 minutes or so.
dnb will never be as popular as house, because the beats are too complicated for most people to cope with. thats why house is so popular, cos any fuckin retard can get their head round a kick drum going boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom

seen. but house doesnt need a "scene" the way dnb does. theres a lot of people who just think of house as 'club music' and whenever they go out, they dance to it. dnb is for those who know, whereas house is more palatable to a general audience.

I see where you are coming from...but House has more longevity IMO. I dedicated 11 years of my life to DnB and I love it still. It's still rather popular in Southern Cali. I actually, like a lot of other people mistook my waning interest in Jungle for everyone elses. I don't think it will ever die completely and will always have good nights...give it another 10 - 15 years though...as house has been around about that much longer.

Couldnt really disagree more. It takes the passionate few to delve into house to find out whats truly on offer. If you're judging house on the poxy pop-tastic arse juice fed out as the staple then you're as waste as those you're dismissing as being 'not in the know'

calling me names makes me ignore you.
oh, and fwiw, by "those who know" i was referring to the fact that people who are interested in DnB tend to be nuts about it. there aren't many casual dnb listeners it seems.
