I was at a party once and this dude kept talking about how he saw some band called "The Management" at a festival. It didn't click that he was talking about MGMT until, like, three days later. I don't know why, but it struck me as extremely douchey.

Is it supposed to be pronounced Em Gee Em Tee or what? I thought it was pronounced 'management'. Dunno though, never heard the name actually said before.

It's always been m g m t to me, that was the first time I'd ever heard anyone consistently call them the management. It just doesn't suit their music at all imo
