I assume most parties she normally goes to are pretty much Electrohouse and HipHop - most celeb parties are - so it makes perfect sense for her to be DJing that sort of music... it's the music that her and her friends dance to.

A person we're not interested in playing music we're not interested in, in clubs we're unlikely to be let into... it's an awful lot easier to ignore it than it is to bring it up and then imply she shouldn't be allowed to have any fun with music because she's female, pretty, rich and has publically admitted to having sex (Woooooooooaaaaaahhhh!)

I doubt Jack Osborne would be getting the same shit.

I agree with you & I don't give a fuck who she is and I don't care or moan that she DJ's, but, I doubt she's doin it for the love of the music, she's just finding a new way to be centre of attention.

Absolutely, but that's why most people DJ... otherwise they'd play music at home for themselves or dance to other people DJing. You don't become a performer if you don't like having an audience. :)

It's no coincidence that pic is a triangle. :6:

Anyway this is the same skank who gets actual DJs removed for not playing the music she likes and she jumps from trend to trend trying to stay in the limelight like a stupid spoiled whore. Now she's talking about making a 'house' album (lol). DJ Sneak is freaking out haha.

But as mentioned, extremely easy to ignore. It's just sad it further degrades DJing as an artform and a legitimate musical skill, like guetta and the others who have their hands in the air more than on the mixer.

sorry, i realise it's totally impossible to dislike a woman's choice of actions in any sphere without resorting to vicious gender-based insults. i should never have expected better.

Man, fuck advocating this or anything like it. Performing in general, from every end of the spectrum, has had some serious low points throughout history, but this has to be an absolute bottom for popular art and culture.

Overpriveleged, untalented, vapid hag gets on stage, presses a couple buttons that don't actually do anything, and people chuck handfuls of cash at her.

No matter how terribly viewed a popstar is in the eyes of people who share similar views as us on music and art, they've usually either dedicated their life to the cause, or had a glimmer of artistic spirit inside of them that sewed the seed bringing them to where they are. This is not Justin Beiber giving up his entire childhood and having absolutely no real control over his life and it's not Skrillex being stung by short man syndrome and a whole other slew of bullshit that motivated him to dominate the world with EDM.

It's some brat flailing her arms at the Hilton Advisory Board and shouting "I want to do that!", and the appointed Paris Hilton business administrator - after reviewing the potential for return on investment, appointing a Setlist Manager, and an Assistant Setlist Manager, and a Cueing programmer, and a Wardrobe Manager, and a CD Cleaning Executive, and a Headphone designer, just as with all of her other 'business ventures', with her not contributing absolutely anything to the process; ghost writing for the business world.

Playing at mate's house parties is one thing and cultivating a new talent is another. Hell, if she got on stage and actually could DJ, it would be another. But getting on stage, with absolutely no passion or ability for what you're doing, and just hurling giant piles of shit at every member in the audience takes the cake. Would any of us do anything different given her situation? Maybe not, and Hilton's just a figurehead to the whole concept behind it, so it's more a jibe on that than her specifically, but it is a sad, sad, fucking sad commentary on some spheres of culture.

Paris Hilton has no artistic merit, no entrepreneurial merit, is a bad role model, and has set the lowest possible standard for music imaginable. Stop fucking defending her.

Why are you assuming only women can be skanks or whores? That's sexist.
