if tipper started making dubstep in earnest all the other bass mekaniks betta watch out, that man is a bonafide Engineer of Bassular Crunktitude. Seriously, who else has bass-tone tests on the ends of his albums???

for the train spotters out there, check out the *2nd* remix he did of my S I Futures track "eurostar" ..it was on the CD single only and was a half time dub mix that now sounds really quite dubstepesque (it was done in 2002)

Yes quite a few times. I have had the pleasure of sitting in one of the cars with the rig running full whack. Makes your brain and eyeballs rattle..
It's not his car though. The FUEL soundsystem is 20K of rig built into 2 Dodge Challengers (40K in total). Richie Warren is the owner of the soundsystem. Tipper helped set up FUEL records....
The soundsystem is still one of the best i've heard. check an interview with Richie Warren here:

Richie Warren wrote:33 Hz is the resonance of a girl’s clitoris. If you play 33 Hz of bass frequency directly onto your girlfriends clitoris for long enough she can achieve orgasm. If you listen to CD 2 off our “8 Track” album entitled “Frequency Broadcast” there is 20 minutes of 33 Hz. On our website there is a dial that goes from 40 Hz down to 25 Hz. The idea is - you get your girlfriend to sit on the speaker and zap her.
Hahahaha! Sounds like after all there is an antidote for the dark masculinity.

It was through Tipper and Fuel that i discovered the wonderful sound that is Buckfunk 3000!
Has that project been put on the back burner then? Have recently dug out 'Jump' and your remix of Tippers 'Dissolve[out]'....Classic bass tracks imo.

about 5 years ago we were quing outside the Concorde2 in Brighton for the Big Beat Boutique - Tipper was playing the night after
Whilst lining up one of the Dodge Challengers pulls up by the entrance.
..everyone waiting looks over as if to say "Not another boy racer" (anyone who have every been down Madiera Drive willl understand)
The suddenly they pop the trunk and up comes the 20k rig on Hydrolics (I think?)
they then blasted out a 30 min selection from the Sound off album
It was one of those 'special' moments from my dancing days that I will never forget.

now i feel like im picking on you, just following you round criticising everything you say :/ it isnt meant to be like that! i hope i cause no offence
but do you not think that in a way that thats a very strong expression of machismo? like... OI OI we'll get them clits going EH. with CARS and BASS. i think its quite jokes, and theres not necessarily anything wrong with masculinity of course, but it strikes me as a pretty extremely masculine thing. depends how you define masculinity though i guess

A few years back i would have disagreed that it was a machismo thing as it was more about the sound frequencies, bass science etc. You had the likes of Tipper, Cold Fusion Mafia, Dexorcist, Keith Tenniswood, Si Begg all making heavyweight tracks that got hammered on the Fuel Soundsystem.
I'm not so sure about Fuel these days...
Since Tipper parted company with Fuel, the label is now defunkt and Richie Warren seems to be pushing things down the 'Max Power' boy racer route. I have a number of Fuel Bass Compilations that have come free with Max Power magazine. That reeks of masculinity to me....All those car shows with scantily clad show girls etc...You only haver to take alook at their website to see it.
Anyhow Tipper ain't with Fuel anymore...
Has anyone checked out Tippers project with Mike Wallis of Colony Productions?? They go under the name of 'CRUNCH' as make some amazing music....bit more downtempo electronix than Tippers output.

sorry, i wasnt clear... i meant specifically the thing about 33hz and women's clits, not so much the music/movement itself. at its peak fuel etc were absolutely sick. radioactive man, tipper, si begg were three very big artists for me. on the subject, anyone know what SOTEG is saying now? about a year or two ago he was rinsing it...
i got that Tipper CD/DVD in 5.1 but still havent had a chance to listen to it! want to wait for a good enough set-up...

I think the is a new SOTEG album in the pipeline...
To be honest i have been delving back into a lot of this stuff as dubstep don't seem to be doing it for me at the moment...
That 'Surrounded' album is amazing.

Of course it is! Especially the 'zapping' is completely ridiculous. I was being ironic, you're not american, right?
Shame Fuel degraded to this kind of nonsense. At their hey-day, they released really amazing stuff.

jokes! sorry, i didnt clock it at all. the difference between an ironic person you've never spoken to before and a slightly short-sighted person you've never spoken to before is hard to perceive via written word!
