Just process a 909 snare. Nice and punchy with enough white noise to sound "full".

I'm using 909s already, but I'm just looking for a preprocessed and prelayered but not overly prelayered that I can layer. Any other packs anyone really likes in this category?

u dun need anyhting else but vengeance. if u get all of the packs u got like 1000 000 samples...
i can barely make music with vengeance sample, they are way to processed, over compressed, unmixable, in a word simply ugly

use compressor, layers, equaliser, filter, transient shapper, enveloppe, gate on classical sample pack

loopmaster and prime loops are not bad, goldbaby samples are fine

since i own maschine, i only use factory maschine drums and can get a large variety of drums using layer, eq, comp & filter... then i make loop and get groove playing on it with AHD enveloppe, transient shapper and gate, then i resample again and add reverb, delay and eq again on the final mix

use a subbass layer on your kick
use a noise layer on your snare
to make brostep i also add a HP filtered low tom as a layer on the snare
to make electro i don't add a kick layer but i automate treshold so that the comp free the kick on snare step
gate, delay and phaser are keys to get good hit hat
layering, eq and reverb are keys to get fat kick and snare
compressor, transient shapper are keys to get dynamics
gate, enveloppe and delay are keys to get groove
