On second thought though, it serves as a good counterpoint to an album mentioned earlier in the thread and released in the same year: Untrue. Where Burial describes the moments in between and around an idealised club night, Boxcutter tells us what's going on smack bang in the middle of the dancefloor. At the same time Glyphic is still a product of dubstep influences. Dubby spaced out atmospherics, abrasive breakstep style drums, deep bass and a dash of drum machine based tunes that foreshadow later developments.

London Zoo, Degenerate and Skream! are all good shouts imo.

I also absolutely love Circadian, but not sure I would classify it as essential...

Yeah "One Of Us" deserves a shout, if only because it is the beginning (in album form) of a distinct approach to dubstep.

wouldn't necessarliy call it essential, but i did enjoy my sound by kromestar when it came out.
