Sometimes I feel like the movie The Pillowbook...
because the main character in the film finds herself writing lists of negative things
"unlike sei shonagon all my lists were negative"
It's like - purging a bad spell.

Where do you get the energy to post like that? Editing nine times and shit, 20 min follow-ups if nobody pays attention and incessant rambling all the time? Fucking hell, foe'd.

There's a lot of horrible shit floating around out there and I'm ashamed to say that curiosity has got the best of me on a few occasions. I'm not even gonna name the video that fucked me up because there's always a chance someone will search for it and up feeling like shit for a good while after viewing.

It's a morbid curiosity for sure but I definitely learnt my lesson.

I saw a video of a guy stood up in a bathtub with an erection, he cocked his leg then took a big shit then came without touching himself. It was about 7 seconds (too) long

The thread is about how bad the consequences can be of seeing disturbing shit.
I saw someone that was just shot dead once. Plus the regular relatives etc..
That's stuff that haunts my memory.

^ In real life? I can't even imagine what that must feel like.

hmmm... now i'm getting this curiosity, not to watch it or to know the name of the video or anything, but what sort of thing would have this effect on a person?

There was this one time , coming back from a party in a youth club at night, we were walking in a group. Suddenly a drunk driver comes out of the roadand goes to the right in the middle of everyone at 90km/h (lost control of the car...) We were all laying down in the field shocked by what happened. Next thing I know I'm looking at a friend (someone I knew from school), the only one actually that got run over, he's agonising in front of the car and I can't see anything else because it's pitch black and the headlights are pointing right at him, eventually he died at the hospital. Don't know if I make much sense because of my shitty english but it was a nightmare

Yeah i've scene some grim stuff over the years.I see some guy get his skull smashed in a fight(i wasn't involved)which wasn't very nice.Even now i can still remember the sound of it when it cracked, also how pale i was after seeing it.
Internet wise i'm no angel, curiosity has also got the better of me on a few occasions.Eugien Armstrong is not for the faint hearted and the 3 guys one hammer.I think we discussed this recently, about kids and internet censorship or something along them lines.
Saying that, reading through this thread has reminded me of my brothers mate who served in the army during the bosnia thing. He came back from his tour and bought himself out because of the shit he witnessed and was seriously traumatised for a while so i think seeing it for real close up has got to be far worse.

Only seen stuff online, which isn't that bad compared to some things.
First I can remember was animal cruelty, it was somewhere like Iran on top of a high-rise building, a man drags his disobedient dog off the building and flings it over, you then saw the camera flash down to a dieing dog, yelping in agony. I'm not a huge animal lover, I'm not vegetarian, and whilst I do own pets - I'm fairly impartial - but that video stuck with me a bit.
Other than that, I remember kids phones at school. One had a video of a mans penis being cut off which I saw the first second or so, it was basically a large, electric blade - then I looked away. That kid was fairly 'normal' as well, and looking back that was messed up. Pig vs chainsaw is another, I can vaguely remember it, but for some reason I don't cringe as much compared to the others.

^ I remember only hearing Pig vs Chainsaw, that was enough.
Yeah about internet censorship - i've personally bought this up in the forum before (unpopular opinions) because i think there really should be some level of censorship on the web. I know it's impossible to implement, but it's just something i really wish existed.
Take porn, i've really grown to despise hardcore pornography and what it could potentially do to me and i actually only started to experience it when i was 16/17 but pretty much everyone male i know my age was on it at least since the age of 12/13. I was high once and my mate transferred me this porn file onto my USB, when i got home i remembered it was there and put it on and it was called Pornstars Punishment and it was thinly veiled rape fantasy stuff, made by Brazzers - that's a production company i see mentioned on mainstream outlets letalone everywhere on the internet. This is the sort of sick shit that you'd have to jump hoops to get 15 years ago, fucking everywhere on the internet. It got to the point where i just wanted to watch some normal porn ffs and 3/5 vids i clicked on were just really rough with people get spat on and smacked and gagged. I asked the friend about this and he goes "it's just jokes". I asked a few other friends if they watch this shit and they're just like "yeah, standard" and most of them had girlfriends they wanted to try this stuff with. Through frolicking on popular pornography sites i have seen stuff that absolutely chilled me - the thing that really kicked me over into an anti-porn flex was this video of this well known porn actress who, in this video, was clearly high as fuck and there was a stationery camera and it was the darkest thing i had ever seen (after my first post of course) because it was just watching a woman at her lowest point being taken advantage of by a man with a bag on his head. And the comments on the video just appalled me. To think that young kids are encountering this stuff at an early age as their first sexual experiences, and it's getting generally more acceptable, is pretty uncomfortable. Also, i think we discussed Max Hardcore on another thread too, that's even darker and horrifying if you've seen
this (don't worry, it's a Channel 4 Doc). And to think of all the darker, desperate copy-cats these thing create.
It's weird though, i'd never thought i'd become a person like this, anti-violence and stuff. I used to think, like most kids, that was violence was fun and could play games that involved gratuitous violence without blinking, watch silly hardcore wrestling and gorey films and fucking anime, but eventually i just became sensitised, and i started to find things shocking. But it's the people who get their triggers pulled by this stuff, who may never have been taken in and could have quietly pushed their harmful thoughts into the back of their minds, that really concerns me. It's one thing to think " i really want to torture someone" and it's another to actually watch a torture and read a bunch of other damaged internet users going "lol awesome" about it.
I'm not saying that people don't have these thoughts otherwise, it's just that this stuff more harmful than we can think. It's not like people are going to be open about wanting to rape and kill.
^ Pretty much incessant rambling. Sorry bright maroon.
