one month into uni and you've already blown all your money, wow well done

I've done that several times too, just pack your box/bag full of food and walk out. Act like you're in charge and they won't even question. I've had 1 person question me, a hostess who threatened to call a manager. Yeah, im going to wait around for you to do that...
They are usually in so much shock they don't know what to say or do. She kept repeating it was against their policy, I just said it was against my policy to let them waste all that food by throwing it away in an hour, because that's what they do with most of it. Friend of mine has worked at a couple, after so many hours they make them throw stuff away and replace it, especially any meats.

lol in college me and my house mates used to visit a pantry once in awhile
pretty sweet deal, all you had to do was write your name on a list and you could fill a grocery bag with items
we all got bread, canned veggies, tea and coffee, crackers, pasta
not really much great food but good stuff for free

You'd think they'd at least give stuff to a soup kitchen or something, and some probably do, but the big restaurant chain places are usually so worried about lawsuits or anything from people becoming ill from food (even faking it) that it's mandatory to throw stuff out or into compactors even if it's obviously fine.

food places you just walk in get a shit tonne of food, like pile up 4 or 5 plates on your table and literally stick it in a plastic bag and fuck off, easy peasy

just walk out the door

by the time they clock if they even do clock you're gone, as long as it isn't connected to a security team that works in a shopping arcade/centre you're sweet

we use to raise somerfield/sainsbury's/co op in headingly/hyde park all the time, only got clocked once and my mate ran in and pushed the security guard out the way so i could run to my escape

took an entire shopping trolley full of booze once, just walked straight out with. like. a. bawse.

it's a shame coz so much good could come from all the wasted food, but yeh with all the laws these days people don't wanna risk losing thier jobs giving food away.
i remember buying this tramp dude a mc donalds meal down west london coz he was sitting outside looking dirty n hungry as hell. The guy was over the moon that i got him a quarter pounder meal. I treat people how i'd like to be treated back and i like to think that if i was homeless some1 would do the same for me.

it just goes back into the kitchen and is mixed with the fresh stuff/reheated to be resold
