This is so sick! That bass is killer, I agree about the snare though...it has a nice punch but it needs more sustain I think, try layering one of those clangy Current Value style snares on it and see how that sounds?

I was very impressed with the pads and whatever else you did to give the intro that type of atmosphere! Also, the growling bass sounds pretty top of the line as well! If you don't mind me asking, what soft synth(s) did you design the growl bass in? How long did it take you to get this good at producing?

Thanks! I did a pretty basic reese bass in massive and then I added some distortion and a lot of filtering. For filtering a used a lot of FL Studio's Love Philter. That's basically how the bass sounds were made. You can make a reese bass in any synth, just detune two saw waveforms and you're good to go . Then add filters to give it some movement.
I've been producing for about two or three years.

If you don't mind one more n00b question, do you resample the bass each time you add a filter/FX, or do you just add an additional filter to the mixer? I'd imagine it would make a difference, but I'm still new to the concept of resampling.

I didn't resample when i made these bass sounds. Resampling is a great tool though and i definately recommend learning it. I mostly use Frequency splitting and apply different effects to different Frequencies.

Damn I love that growl at 0:25! Teach me how to make that! You use Massive, FM8 or what?

Is this a neurohop dubsteppish kinda bass? lol i made it in massive originally Soundcloud i really don't know what to call it.

This is a nice sound, lots of good movement to the bass. As for the track itself, I think it needs a little more energy when you get into it, maybe use the hi-hats to pick up the pace of the track. Really nice sounds though!
