He's a busdriver. He can't have some tnuc throwing punches on him while he's driving a damn bus filled with dozens of people in traffic.

it does hold up, he can say he was feeling seriously threatened or even that she was threatening all the passengers in which case it's state of necessity, you don't know if she was already seriously disturbing him while he was driving the bus... A dozen people badly injured in a traffic accident > a good beating for a shithead that's how it works in a court (in most systems anyway, don't know about US regulations on the matter)

If she report this assault, he may be in a bit of a pickle. Self defence is only a defence if reasonable force is used. By the girl lightly slapping the driver does justify a full on uppercut excessive force = flop. Nevertheless, it was her fault entirety, period.

In our city the drivers seat has a plexiglass shield between them and the passengers (not to mention cameras on the bus)

i'm from LA i know all about hood rats and ghetto trash. bus driver getting a push and retaliating by pushing her out of the bus is as equal as it can get. bus driver getting a push then uppercutting her before doing what he should've done in the first place (just push her out of the bus) is excessive.

You can use equal and opposite force against any attacker. And if you can prove that you really thought your life was endangered (I'm not saying that his was, cuz it wasn't), than even a push can warrant deadly opposing force.

To be fair I don't give a shit whether she just pushed him or not. I would of rather had another girl slap the shit out of her, but some people deserve to be knocked the fuck out. Obviously in this video we don't know the full context of what happened, but it sounded to like she was one of those people.

This is just depressing as fuck.
