Theres just a huge amount of Israeli turbo cheese and over zealous dark psy cult goons that really give it a bad rep.
Theres a middle ground however.
In particular the more progressive side of psy; Like older Ticon, Freq, Atmos, Gaudium, Midi Miliz etc.

PROPER psytrance is more concerned with the monotonous vibrations of the pulsing kick drum and monotone bassline - from a mediative perspective.
