Not sure about a tutorial, dont think there are alot for kontakt, but its pretty simple. If you just drag any sound into kontakt and go to the mapping editor, you can just drag samples straight into that window and put it on whatever key/keys you'd like. Just make sure you turn off the key tracking so it dosent affect the pitch. I could get some screenshots showing where everything is but I'm at work right now, but if you want it I can get on it when I get home.

The manual explains it very well and has a tutorial if I''m not mistaken.
Here's a link to a tut anyway.

You will, I promise. I felt the same way when I got it, but its really not as complicated as it looks. And its a real beast of a sampler, I falling more in love with it every time I use it. :U:

i only have kontakt 4 cuz i got such a good deal on K7 + Razor ($200) but its pretty much the same thing right? better filters in 5 i heard? probably not worth spending the $119 or whatever for the upgrade right? considering thats over half of what i paid for all of K7.

but yeah it does seem beast. im gonna watch some tuts on it and just dabble. even fucking guitar rig is a bit much for me right now. i dont even really use it. i mean i already have camelphat and saturn, and i know how to use those so..

I've never owned 4 so I cant really say, but I think its basicly the same. The filters seem to be the main point of the upgrade, but its not like you are using kontakt just for the filters.
The tape saturation can be really nice on some stuff, but its definatly not worth the upgrade on its own. Based on the list of changes on the NI website i'd say you're good. :)

yeah fuck it lol i have more software than i know what to do with. at this point its beginning to stunt my creativity because im getting lost in all my tools. i just could not pass up k7 + razor for 200 smackers (it has the current massive, fm8, absynth 5, reaktor etc, only thing lacking is guitar rig 4 and kontakt 4 and some ensembles). im going to learn what i have and stick with it. once i get comfortable with everything im sure my productions will be much better.
