isn't Dubstep Allstars a series to display the progwession of the sound? Doing a 'History of' wouldn't really be in keeping with that?

Don't think that it'll be a retrospective. But if he's still playing decent sets maybe some of it will filter through.

His Rinse CD isn't bad as a snapshot of the tear-out side of the scene at the time. Where he'll go with this now though...

I can give you a ruff description of his 2hr 'Decadance' set which i caught at Fabric on Friday.

Started off with some House, segued into classic (DECENT) Garage after about 15 mins, loads of El-B, Zed Bias, Wookie etc, then went on an oldschool grime tip, dropped tons of sick instrumentals + Pulse X, Preditah, I Luv U etc, then for the last hourish drew for classic dubstep, Anti War Dub, Jah War Remix, Find My Way Remix, Haunted, Lightnin, Request Line, REQUEST LINE VIP etc. Was chucking in a bit more tear out stuff near the end.

Bit vague but you get the idea. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Doubt that'll filter thru to the CD tho.

Plastician, big in the game. Rinse show turned into shite after a while though.

Is Nomad still on his Rinse show? I quite liked him..

I guess the last part of his Decadance sets will probably reflect what the CD will have. Caught him in Feb and he was decent, expecting some crossover grime on this

Who knows... the instagram photo is from the guy who makes Tempa's artwork, so i'd say it's a pretty reliable source

i reckon hes gonna respect that dubstep allstars is something 'for the heads' bit cringy sayin that but u know what i mean.
i doubt he'll fill it with screechy tunes, maybe a couple here an there but i reckon he knows what to do here

Last good one was Ramadanman really.
Quest and Silkie should of been in 2009 after Appleblim when their sound was big.
Someone should of done one with the uk funky stuff.
Loefah or Ramadanman should of done something with their sound that they were playing too.
Don't really know of anyone else that would of boight anything new to the table without straying too far from 140.
Hardly evolved this year has it?

This isn't some cynical or depressing thing I'm saying here. But it was seriously great to see a genre rise up, evolve and then completely stagnate in my lifetime. In such a short period too.

As long as Midnight Request Line VIP is on the tracklist I'm picking this up
