Endless respect for what Soul Motive did ! :U: :i: :Q:

And much they did !

One of the first labels that gave out free mp3 downloads when buying the vinyl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :4:
Pushing a great artist like Eleven Tigers !!!
Giving badman Sharmaji a proper and well deserved release !!!
Same goes for badman Sines !!!

Aj aj, I learned a lot from you guys and I'm very happy to have most of the releases in my collection !

THANKS ! :t:

Genuine thanks for all the kind words, we had a lot of fun doing it (probably me more than Adam as I got to dj in lots of different countries). If you have the time or inclination you should check out Macc's remix of Stableface, it was our penultimate release and (although we out some great stuff), it's my favourite piece we put out, proper shows what D&B can still be.

Yo that gig is one of my top 3 ever. Had loads of fun, party was fucking rocking, got to hang out with Cluekid in Christiana (the fucking wild west), stay in one of the weirdest hotel rooms ever (4 poster bed as well fam), and met some BUFF girl called Nanami as well. Vibes!

can't believe you have to shut down a label which got support from skream and other "big names".
too sad to hear it, as many above said: some of the vinyl i'm most proud of is soul motive material: snake eater, luvdup (!!), stableface....

:(

Really sad to hear about this pete, guess it is a sign of the times. Same thing happened to Urban Graffiti, still happy to have brought some artists to the forefront and supplied good music to those who dared listen.

Hope things pick up in the future and kudos on all the hard work you guys have done. Onward and upwards...

Big up

I just want to take a moment to big up the work that Pete and Adam did.

Too many people take this whole label thing for granted, it takes hard graft and effort on the regular. Even more so when you are attempting to define a very specific aesthetic both sonically and visually. Soul Motive was on a badman ting and are a label whose work I am proud to own. They set a bar across the board. Trust, I wanted to sign that Sharmaji like you would believe.

Big up your chests lads, nuff respect, made me proud to be from Bristol.

So sorry to hear it, Im still listening to that Peverelist Stableface remix, i remember first going to your website and browsing through the entire catalogue just admiring the artwork, i never would have thought such a great label would even think of calling it quits.
big ups to soul motive and the entire bristol bunch.
