Rokits are good monitors, I own a pair of 8's. But I wouldn't suggest buying them alone just for mixing. They colour the sound a lot. You'd be better of investing in some yamaha's. or imo, just skip monitors all together until you've got other more important necessities for your setup. Like a good board, actually purchasing the software you're going to be using.

Also look into beyer's dt770's. I mix all my music off headphones. They're very good.

Naa with monitors you can make the most of anything as you can hear the difference properly. Lots of classic tracks were made on Fruity Loops but you wouldn't think that as they used monitors, unlike most of the people at the time making grime and stuff who just used either computer or hifi speakers
