I'd rather have a few people sound a bit like Burial only different than have everone sound exactly like Coki only not as good...
Plus "moody and garage influenced" is a pretty broad remit, so it's not like as soon as you go into that sort of sound you're producing a stright ripoff of Burial...

I think the whole photek link is more to do with him wanting to create his own signature drum sound like photek did - which he has done. Both are intricate, but each equally original and, ultimately, quite different...
The link isn't as simple as just one mimicking the other. I think it's more of a general take on drum programming and the desire to create a unique sound.
And also, they're both gods.
