Only when i'm really focused on one project, when i'm itchin to get an idea out usually all i'll need is a sub. However i do build synths FM8 and Massive a lot, and made a mean reece the other day so i'm gonna keep on practicing freq splitting

For those of you who do resample, do you ususally do just one note, or do you resample a whole scale or 2 octaves or something?

depends what im doing. If i just want the actual sort of waveform i usually resample 1 longish note, if i want to make something with a riff in it sound all fucked up ill resample a 2 bar loop or something.

i think resampling is great if you have a nice soundmaker like malström but you want to take it further.
lets say pitched down an octave or like this effect you get when you put a reece into a sampler set on gliding and move through the octaves like this aggresive movement you cant get without resampling ot bouncing or however you wanna call it
