I do like all the vocal features on the LP however I'd love an instrumental version of the album as well!

i agree on the 'hard to top' part. but let's see what silkie, kromestar and hopefully quest do with their lps.
really shit to hear, and i hope to god that it all gets sorted out. author simply has to exist! you guys are the best thing to happen to dubstep since dubstep started.jack sparrow1 wrote:Hello, Firstly i wasn't going to comment on the situation and bring it into the public domain but i feel as though i should say something as it has gone way past what we are comfortable with. Some of you might be wondering why the latest Author album has fallen quite thin on the ground in terms of promotion/manufacturing and general awareness...this is because in short the label made an absolute mess of everything and to the point where me and Dom have little or no prospects for the future of the album. We did work very hard to come with another album and at the time we were negotiating contracts everything was legit and we were happy, over the following months the project ran away from the label for whatever reason.
The promotions company/us have been left stranded with nothing to go on. Financially/Mentally this is a massive turning point for me personally and i don't think i can continue within music for much longer due to the circumstances of this release. I wouldn't say Author is ruined but i think this is the point where we say enough is enough and cut our losses for the project and move on. We still have no word from the label and no info on manufacturing and i have physical copies myself to listen/look at. Devastated to say the least
I am sure whatever difficulty they are going through will be rectified
This is fucked, man. I always thought Black Box was one of the best run labels in the scene. That aside, what is the best way to support you all financially? Obviously want to make sure you're seeing the majority of the profits.jack sparrow1 wrote:Hello, Firstly i wasn't going to comment on the situation and bring it into the public domain but i feel as though i should say something as it has gone way past what we are comfortable with. Really hope this isn't the case! Its been spoke about extremely highly by many, definitely one of the best (if not the best) albums this year. Regardless of the problems you should be proud of the music.. good music will promote itself!jack sparrow1 wrote:Financially/Mentally this is a massive turning point for me personally and i don't think i can continue within music for much longer due to the circumstances of this release.
