Also, hilarious to see that Sony's shares went UP and Microsoft's DOWN as the reveal finished.
Sony said they wouldn't, even if Microsoft did.

I don't any person in their right mind would say the Xbox One looks good after seeing the revel. They barely mentioned any games, and they just talked about a lot of stupid shit you have to pay for. I knew it would suck, but I thought it would at least be better than the WiiU.
Sony all the way.

"The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," he said. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live."
"They would be paying the same price we paid, or less?" we asked.
"Let’s assume it’s a new game, so the answer is yes, it will be the same price," Harrison said.
But that doesn't mean used games are dead. In fact, Harrison told us, you'll be able to sell your Xbox One games online.
"We will have a solution—we’re not talking about it today—for you to be able to trade your previously-played games online," Harrison said.

doesn't look particularly appealing but i don't see what the ps4 is gonna do differently tbh. I'm sure i will end up getting it a year or so after release.

The case is fugly. Really bland and boring. Don't see a point in getting consoles unless they are being released with a new disc format.

I don't know how useful those extra "features" will be in New Zealand.

Turns out you also have to connect to XBL once a day, even if you're playing offline. This keeps getting better and better.

Not charging for online or second hand games is enough. That shouldn't even be a plus point but we live in crazy times.

Indeed the games will be much the same but personally I'd rather have my details stolen than pay for online access to play games which I've already paid for.
I don't think the small amount of details I've given Sony (email address, Playstation network password, address) would be of much use to a hacker so security issues aren't a big deal IMO.
As always with new consoles, it's all about the games IMO. I've not been a fan of Xbox in the past but if there's some amazing exclusive games for this new one I might be tempted.
