Killer Instinct is a bit too little too late. MS blocked it before, now they throw it out there and it seems kinda like an afterthought from the trailer. Like one of those quickly thrown together 4.99 PSN games/remakes.

Some of the other stuff looks interesting though. Ryse and Dead Rising 3 look cool.

lol@
MS is spending a ton of money to keep publishers from showing their games running on the PS4 at E3 2013

i never understood this whole scene.... the big 3 continue to repackage and sell what's essentially obsolete game-dedicated PC's with really restricted UI's, slowly adding some features that are available on PC's via standard apps like web browsers and word processors... except on PC you don't have to scroll thru the alphabet to select a letter, or browse facebook with a joystick. They release games only for their platform to get you to buy their shitty computers. Why don't they just license games and custom controllers for regular computers??

It's so illogical to buy a computer in 2013 that can't be upgraded and doesn't have standard cable ports, internet access with a normal browser, wifi, etc.

The only reason consoles are around is they started the video gaming hobby and kept a hold of their titles. Would you buy a shitty stereo because it was the only stereo that played certain records? Or more so would you tolerate that restrictive of a market from the sellers? Ig uess you have to, because they'll never destroy their business model to satisfy my sense of logic

Because it's so much easier, I tried playing pc games again but it's not something you can just jump into.

Consoles makes everything standardised. I don't have to make sure my Xbox meets the requirements to run a game

I am buying a new production computer and the one I'm getting is the mutts nuts but they're just so fiddly to play games on imho compared to a console...

I will maybe try elder scrolls online mind

the touchpad on the ps4 controller is cool but it small, a good working touchpad would have to be close to the wiiu gamepade size and it wouldnt look that good.

That's your answer there pretty much.
Games on console run better because they are built for a dedicated gaming machine. The system won't be bogged down with other software, or won't have viruses or whatever to worry about. There won't be compatibility issues, or driver issues etc.

Yes PC games can look better and run just as well, but it requires more upgrades and technical knowledge than the average person has. Many people are simply not interested in learning about it. As a PC gamer for nearly 20 years even I have a hard time keeping up with PC hardware and technology these days.

Also obsolescence is only an issue for people who like to have the 'latest and greatest'. It's not like they are any less useful. Infamous 2 for PS3 is one of the best games on there, and it only utilizes around 50-60% of the CPU. They will still be releasing PS3 games for a few years because the hardware is still capable, the problem was the Cell processor wasn't easy to work with, so they are moving to a traditional PC CPU that is more accessible to developers.

I'm confused as to what this statement means. Are you literally just saying you're glad there are games? Like talking about the olympics and saying "go sports!!!"

Sony's going HAM right now. Lots of indies, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3 (though I don't think they're PS4 exclusive).
