Some of the NI Maschine stuff is pretty nice (and yes, you dont need maschine to use the samples. 90% of the time when im using them im not even using maschine.) Most of what im using is a free pack that Primeloops gave away not too long ago. Its a little over 2 gigs of samples broken down into 7 genres. Pretty good stuff in there, and the price was more then right. CM also gave away 2 gigs or so of Soundorder samples with one of there issues. Some nice stuff in there also.
Granted, i only use sample packs for drum sounds (kick/snare/hats/ect). All the leads and basses that come with packs sound pretty shitty to me. But thats just me.
I'm currently looking like crazy for finally some good pro sounding drums and snares etc...These free Primeloops and CM packs, is there a download somewhere of them? If not, could you upload it lol? Would be kewl. I'm so desperate for good drums it's not even funny.

There are enough samples in these few packs to last you a lifetime, and these are just the more 'popular' ones. plenty more stuff if you dig around DOA especially

Hit Kit, vengeance dubstep (you'll have to prune through the garbage as with all their packs), Thomas penton. Not a fan of goldbaby at all

What are the best goldbaby packs worth buying? Emphasis on percussion.

Why a new thread?
I strongly advise getting Thomas Penton or Kore soundpack for percussion. I think goldbaby will disappoint you.

You could have left it to one thread.
Your question is also all subjective.

Is that sarcasm? If not, Vengeance are one of the worst. lol. Over-processed piles of shit.
Hit Kit v3 is really good. Focused at pop/hip hop styles, but some really solid samples there.
Um, the kit that KJ Sawka did for Ableton has some nice pieces (free).
Anything that fits the tech/minimal crowd also comes in pretty nicely.
Generally - avoid dubstep/dnb focused packs. Use hip hop/pop/house/tech.etc. packs. Also, any solid acoustic kit for layering.

Hit Kit V3 is good as stated above.
No doubt about that.

Whoaaaa, vengeance samples are top notch, ignore the haters. Sooooo many successful producers use them. People hate on them because they're popular and expensive, like they airways do with things like that (massive, for example).
Also really good are the Hy2rogen Full Phat Drums packs.

Dude ever since the vengeance series finished, it became to most pirated sample pack ever

, anyways if you want drums you should get the sample with the drums made by KJ Sawka, most of the breaks there fit to the tempo and are excellent.

I don't understand your comment about piracy. You're saying just because you can pirate them that they're not expensive? Also, the vengeance "series" is far from being finished. Recent releases include essential dubstep, minimal house 2...

Totally random, is there a snare sample like that one used in Skrillex's First Of The Year? That's a kind of snare I'd love to use.

People aren't just 'hating' for the sake of hating, they're saying why they suck and offering great alternatives. There are some usable things in vengeance for sure, but the one shots are no doubt complete shit. Their popularity isn't an indicator of quality (although I'm sure someone will try and argue this until they're blue in the face).

What do you mean by percussion? Like hand drums and "ethnic" kits? For that I'd get this pack called Percussionism, you can find it on Loopmasters.
Goldbaby packs are mostly classic drum machine sounds. I really like the Analog 808 pack and the Vinyl Drum Hits. Vinyl Drum Hits would pretty much sort you on kicks, snares, hats, crashes IMO. You got some 909, 808, Linndrum (I think) as well as other drum machines in there.
Anyone mention Wave Alchemy yet? They are pretty decent. Gold Baby has all kinds of free kits so you can get a taste before you buy.

No I don't mean the usual salt shaker and conga drum packs lol, I mean the legit best of the best, like brostep stuff, right now I'm really just looking for really good snare and kick samples, cymbals not so much, I just want to get that jaw dropping snare that the pros use, to give you an example, the Au5 snare is celestial imo:
At 0:20 OMG

If I could get that snare, I'd be forever satisfied lol.
