Grime is WICKED right now, I love it.
I dunno whether the Wiley story on RWD is true or not - if it is then it's pretty crushing, but lets see if it really happens. I am skeptical that Gee / Sarah would do this.
Though if MCs won't behave...

this could be due to the recent speculation over the OFCom license.
You cant have daytime shows where a every 30 seconds someone blurts out with
"shit shit my hoes man fuck fuck shot em with my gat man innit blap blap man dont chat shit to me man, ill murk you man and your wife man and blap blap fuck fuck shit shit"
I cant MC, so brownie points to me for trying...
But you get the idea

Atleast with dubstep the probability of swearing is low...the only time is the DJ/Host swearing rather than lyrics on a vinyl that arent radio safe or an MC bustin some bars and forgetting the rule.
Stuff like this can crumble the whole application quickly

Can't have daytime shows with filth like Cockney Thug playing. And that Skream, he's a disgrace with his swearing.

Radio doesn't have a watershed.
I always find it funny when dubstep fans turn into their grandparents at the first sniff of grime

1.5 Radio broadcasters must have particular regard to times when children are particularly likely to be listening.
Meaning of "when children are particularly likely to be listening":
This phrase particularly refers to the school run and breakfast time, but might include other times.
Such as dinner time, time when kids are likely to do their homework or are travelling in a vehicle.
So usually any time after 9pm to be safe.[/quote]

Yes your are correct radio doesn't have a watershed but its still good practice not to swear because you will likely receive complaints, which will not be a good thing with ofcom.
But to be honest it seems a mute point considering Rinse is a pirate, but then I don't know how close Rinse are to getting a license.
Have to wait and see what happens.

Bet its got fuck all to do with OFCom.
If it was why not just tell the ppl to be a hell of a lot more professional.
If they knew they were guna be on legal radio im sure they would.
I would.
Sounds like alot of fraff to me.

this is bare ignorance innit... you remind me of moral panic fuckwads in the states trying to sum up the subject matter of street level hip-hop.. get a clue and open your ears - or just don't comment on something you obviously don't understand

I really don't care either way. I thought about it for a minute, and decided.

Logan Sama has racked up 40k+ listeners with a pure grime show on Kiss, so that they're aiming for a license is no excuse really. It sounds more like Geeneus is just fed up with grime (re: his recent sets) and can't be bothered with it on his station anymore.

no grime at dinner time
