It doesn't bother me mate. I just figured it'd be nice to have a forum to discuss more than just house on DSF is all. As for whether it detracts from the discussion, I've avoided posting tunes in here as I figured they'd be considered off-topic what with their not being house tunes and all

but the house forum is a forum to discuss more than just house, it always has been, i think since it has been named house there has probably been more talk of actual house than before, but still, people dont talk about just house in here, people probably talk about everything but dubstep in here lol

It's called House , but just look at the front page , maybe about 1/4 of it is House , the rest varies from Techno right through to Hip Hop.
I can't remember correctly but didn't they try to rename this forum last year or that and in the end everybody decided to leave it as it is, House?

im fairly certain i remember the name house being a sort of tounge-in-cheek joke thing when uk funky just started coming around/dubstep fading and people didn't know wtf was going on so the standard response is "some house shit or something"
