and about 10 years. Either that, or accepting that unless you're going to dedicate your life to get really professional about producing music, your tunes are never going to be as professional in quality as your tastes would like.
So learn to become happy with the process of making music, and be happy in the humble outcomes and stop comparing yourself to the greats. Or pay someone to mix/master your stuff.
