Hardly. And their tactics were pretty cruel. They were using people's suffering from 9/11 by showing images of the tragedy as a way to discredit the belief that 9/11 was an inside job, basically trying to picture anyone as a heartless monster, making light of a tragedy, regardless of how legitemate their claims may be.

It's a bit deeper than that.
All the chemical processes involved and the actually activity in our brains and bodies after so-called "death" make it difficult to distinguish between life and death.
Hence the book title.

(NB I'm in no way supporting the government or not saying that they could turn on us. But that comes back to my comment re; the evil of man as opposed to a conspiracy)

Which naturally lends itself to abusing the system on all levels.
Evil man immediately makes me think he is capable of so much more.

It's a pretty big jump from the evil of man to a worldwide government conspiracy IMO. An evil man would kill someone on the street...but that doesn't mean he abseiled down from a black helicopter to do so.

Dunno, depends on the person. I find the ideas of 'systems' that work according to 'plan' terrifying. Show me a perfectly working machine and I'd prefer knowing that once in a while, a bolt goes loose and gets stuck in the gears. I doubt I'm the only one.

Just the fact that societies like the Skull and Bones exist make me believe there is more to it.
The underhanded antics of the Koch brothers, the 9/11 truths that were once touted as conspiracy, etc.

There's ample reason to be semi objective and look at some of the information as truth rather than pie in the sky nonsense.
