Yunx, BunZer0 and the Anti-Social shows regularly and then a few bits here and there like decent Getdarker mixes and guestmixes for blogs by artists I'm feeling. Bought Dark Tantrums Balance EP yesterday.

Probably 90% of people in here do, it's just that we don't call it dubstep anymore

Jim's listed most of the producers making fresh dubstep lately
plus perverse + proxima....
a lot of previous faves lead me astray into dubtech & new wave trip-hop.
Still listen to at least 4 hours of dubstep per week, old & new.

{wtf's going on with postings at the moment?}

forgot about that ^^ Cluekid release
expect Cotti to play his dubstep hand soon

been kinda getting back into the old stuff recently. its fun to revisit. Ehbes and I were just debating dubsteps relevancy actually haha.
Riddles wrote:I still get a lot. 2013 has been a decent year, good new music. New people and older producers still doing work, just gotta look past a lot of dungeon
Sorry but 2013 has been a total shit year for dubstep. Black Box shit themselves, no really big releases....tbh Badman VIP was the last dubstep "anthem" and by the time that actually got released nobody gave a shit anymore.

completely disagree, Badman VIP was a waste of a release. Really no point to it at all, not an anthem imo.

just cos there hasn't been a DMZ or any "big" releases doesn't make it a shit year.

We've had Lion Charge Records release 4 great plates, Tunnidge - Twenty12, Commodo - Space Cash, Pinch & Roska - Shoulda Rolla, Kahn EP, The Bug Ep, Goth Trad - Born to Know, VIVEK -Asteroids, Silkie - Lost Tapes, Author album, Tunnidge - 7 Breaths (Distance Remix), Innamind putting out 4 brilliant records and the Thelem one set to be even better.

theres probably more too, thats just from some of the stuff i've bought and can remember

no I completely agree with you on Badman, it was a shit release, I'm just saying that when it was making the dubplate rounds, EVERYONE wanted to hear it. That tune was one of the primary reasons for going to a Kryptic Minds or Yunx show. Can't deny that. The

And yeah fair play on those releases but the fact of the matter is you have to actively search those out moreso than you used too. Theres just not the same hype of 140 that there was a a few years ago.

i listen to all the decent old stuff, old radio shows and podcasts on the regs. dont check out much new stuff bar a few tbh. chord marauders, gantz, kahn, commodo, wayfarer. still check out the deep medi catalogue once in a while for stuff i havent heard yet. theres a few people still flying the flag and trying to do interesting tjhings instead of following the dungeonsnooze formula.

i enjoy a lot of what the keysound gang and friends are doinbg but cant rly call that dubstesp cos theres loads of different sounds flying around.

but completely given up on minimal mondays )-:

I think that's why it shouldn't get released, enough DJs had it that you probably would hear it out if you were at a decent dance, but it meant that you only heard it in a dance.

And yeh, I completely agree with you, there is a lot less hype about 140 these days, and there is quite a lot of bland rubbish. You've gotta hunt more these days if you want good dubstep, but it's still there.
