After watching that vid this thing looks like it's going to be a little Electro monster. I can already see myself abusing that thing.

Really like the look of this. The sequencer, general sound and how easy it looks to jam stuff out on it really make me think this could be worth buying.

looks dope, sounds dope, if you don't like it sell it in a couple of months, there will be tuns of buyers. If you like or love it, well you'll probably end up with racks of analog gear.

I reckon those that buy this will get SERIOUS synth lust and a can of worms will be truly opened, might be worth anticipating this and getting a Bass Station 2 instead given that they give so many more options?

I'm thinking about getting one (or a mini brute). Love the simplicity of the mini brute, but BS2 does have so much for the price...

Too bad they'll probably be on back order for months kinda a random comment but it cracks me up that people are still trying to sell mopho desktops for near new prices with the pallete of affordable analog monosynths these days...

Seriously what happened? For like two decades people were clamoring for analog synths, nothing really new, I know boutique kind of things, and really pretty expensive shit, or pain in the ass front panel shit, all the while prices were going up and up and up, and now it is like boom, analog synths dropping from trees.

When VST and the cost of computing power met at a happy medium who the hell wanted to fuck w awkward to program synths. The market got saturated w mediocre vsts based on the same or similar sound engines that were joyless to program. Synths are instruments that are meant to be played. Vst is like editing a spread sheet...

've known since the late 90's through the now have always been clamoring for analog synths, nothing has changed, except now the supply has gone through the roof. I think there is a new market demand, I think edm going pop is drawing people into production the way 60's 70's guitar rock got people into wailing on the ax.

We're just the incidental beneficiaries of the herd coming our way. I think. Or companies just figured out that the chinese could build analog rather than digi?

Yes. I think you've got it. But I think there are a lot of people like me that started making electronic music right when DAWs and VSTs got awesome computing power was cheap and some of us don't like making music w a mouse. That's at least what happened to me. Digital will always be a part of what I do...but I love knobs sliders and pads on real gear that is setup the moment you flip it on.

Fuck it, I'm splurging some cash - in the future that is, I'm going to save my pocket money and gett a Nord Lead 4R

Of course, by that time there will be a new batch of goodies to lust after.

Has anyone considered the Waldorf Pulse 2? Similar price range, looks very interesting indeed.

Sorry, going a bit off topic here. I'm gonna try out a microbrute this weekend and report back...

Pulse 2 looks really interesting IMO. It some how fakes 8 voices in a monosynth. Same programming matrix as the blofeld but has less options so should be even easier to use. At around 800 usd doesn't seem a terrible deal but I've seen prophet 08 racks go used for not much more.

It's paraphonic - it plays multiple pitches, but from the same osc (voice), so it's still a single oscillator.

Yea. I didn't quite understand that really. Thanks for the info. Still pretty cool IMO not aure about the price though...I'd love to pay 600 for one...

On topic...the microbrute seems like a nice addition to my Mopho...I can imagine linking the two and playing two patches at the same time.

This video is a does a damn good job of selling it Makes it look like a great tool for promoting experiementation.

Still think the Bass Station 2 is the best option for a budget monophonic though, and packs in a lot more features than the £150 price difference would usually provide.
