people rollin in bare old ones looked like broke wannabes :P
Bah, kids! The idea is to have as much fun as possible.

Actually, I'm amazed with how cheap some of the latest shapes are... you can get a new shape SLK for £8k on Autotrader. Custom plate and the gally will be none the wiser!
haha yeah fair man

i know im being a bit judgmental

but theres always that guy u see on the road looking smug in some 90s model like its the new m3

i always use to think, like, my zetec s probably cost more than that and runs better m8

LOL. I beg you, go and buy a brand new A3 when the next SLC cheque rolls through. :cornlol:

Magma - I miss it everyday. I had the 6th gen 2L GT. Fuck all this vvt shit right off! What were you rocking?

If it weren't for leaving the country in a year, I'd put down 10k easy on a new model merc or beamer.
dude, thats the plan

haha i just think a smart newish hatchback would be alot nicer/cooler than like a 51 plate merc or bmw

I was on the VVT shit* I was planning to buy one of the frog-eyes for AGES (couldn't have afforded to insure one, but the GT4 was my favourite car ever since my first game of Sega Rally), but my best mate bought one first without telling me (and a fucking 1.8ST at that  ), so I ended up having to save up an extra couple of grand just so I could get the newer model and stunt on him.

*once you've had one of those silly engines, other cars can feel a bit boring, mind - 9000rpm through the tunnel under the Galleries... my ex used to love me... PUT YO WINDOW DOWN BITCH

yeah that looks sick, I'd rock an old capri over almost any new car tbh.

Magma - I couldnt afford the GT4 at the time but a mate's dad had one and they were SICK. though in retrospect, the fuel efficiency of the the VVT engines probably would have saved me a grand over the course of a year!

Idk how car auctions work over there, but you don't really get a chance to know what's up with the engine until you've already bought it.... so I wouldn't trust that slk at that price

My friends dad used to flip auction cars, and one time he got a ford truck for cheap, because it had a bullet hole in the back + some of the previous owners blood

I used to borrow my old mans RX8, not quite the same noise (oddly high pitched), but damn there is something about having to rev to 9000 rpm before changing. :U:

my dad had one for a while, really nice car. pretty hard ride though, but if you've only got it for a year it wont be too bad.

my first car came from an auction

1.2 5 door corsa b with about 90k miles, cost me 500 quid

ran it for 9 months, flew through it's MOT without a single fault, taxed it again for 6 months

then went to uni and sold it to my cousin for 600 quid and it was on the scrap heap within 2 months, dunno what the fuck she did to it

was really lucky with that tbh, flawless car that i turned a profit on

Right fuck it, I've read too many reviews and shit. I'm getting a Mk2 MX5. Might get highlights in my mohawk as well whilst I'm at it.

What year and how many kms do these vehicles have? There's no point buying something more than 10 years old with 150 thou on the clock.

I'm not looking at anything over 75k on the clock.

This, a recent SLK -recent being max 5 years back- should probably be around 25k.

Nice sports cars for under 12k is something you see on Wheeler Dealers and they leave
out the cost for all the work done on it :)

Wow, you lot must live in a world of brand new cars or a few years old. Getting that big money I guess.

I'm getting some 8 > 12 year old ting.
