I take mine out an don't really care what people think. Most folks (smokers anyways) are actually somewhat curious about it.
It only gets annoying when folks think it is BHO or something and I have to disappoint them and advise it is just nicotine. Got pretty bad at Burning Man last year but, disappointing hippies is actually more rewarding than it may sound.
Beyond that, the pleasure of not smoking far out ways any negative social feedback.

I'm also very new to this and I've just ordered a Vaponic portable vaporizer to try out. I briefly looked at methods to use marijuana with e-cigs but I'm really not up for the whole process of making oil etc. To be honest though I'm looking to use it in the house mostly as an alternative that produces a less noticeable smell relative to smoking it out the window when its too early in the day to venture outside and sit at the bus stop

.

Maybe. But you can smoke them anywhere - In the supermarket, on trains,
in children's faces... It's great!

This thread reminded me that I had to stop using my ecig, I had been smoking it like mad without thinking about when I was going to stop so I have now stopped taking it to work and I only have a few puffs in the evening. Feels good, but I did smoke a few real cigs last night because I was at a bar surrounded by smokers , I feel guilty now

Been using one for about 6 months now. Fits into my life so well, late night producing sessions don't feel right without it. The funny thing is that I barely smoked before so it's not like im trying to quit cigarettes, I just like the taste and i find the nicotine acts as a sort of stimulant to me. Definitely drink less coffee now for sure

coffee nicotine what?
This thread has piqued my curiosity. I am starting to get sick of smoking, but does this stuff ACTUALLY work.
I worry mostly about relapsing when I go out drinking - what do you guys do to stop yourself sparking up when you are getting pissed? It's impossible I tells ya

I still haven't been out since I quit so i'm worried about this too. Will probably just smoke and then quit again the morning after.

Thing is, I don't go out that much, like, once every few months, so it wouldn't be that bad. My mate follows the same method but he's out every weekend so just goes through withdrawal all through his working week. Fun.

Nicotine can be a stimulant blad, I use the 24mg nicotine liquid so it's strong stuff.
I know a lot of hardcore smokers who have stopped or cut down significantly since they started on the vape, it can work wonders.
I often smoke real baccy when I'm out, if my liver is suffering my lungs might as well join the fun, plus the odd night of having a real cig is not gonna do you much harm. Smoking is dumb when it becomes a daily habit and a chore, dont see why you gotta cut it out entirely unless you wanna be henry rollins

Most of my friends are cigarette smokers and every time I'm out with them and there is alcohol I end up buckling and having a few, even when I have the e-cig on me, it just doesn't cut it after a few beers
it makes me get the guiltiest hangovers

okay, quick confession up in here.
Vamo V3 with three different rebuildable atomizers (refuse to ever call them "atties")
approximately 8 18650 batteries, a trustfire charger, i make my own flavors from stock nicotine liquid (blueberry cinnamon roll!)... erm.. over 100ft of 32g A1 Kanthal wire, not to mention i've tried various wicking methods (cotton balls work best, as long as you keep them nice and moist, otherwise - cheesecloth).
man, if I get any deeper into this, i'll need a soldering iron.

Questions over the safety of E-cigarettes and whether they help people quit smoking will be discussed in ITV’s Tonight programme ‘The rise of the E-Cigarette’ at 7:30pm.
As they grow in popularity organisations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation suggest caution over their use due to concerns over quality and because they have not been subject to clinical testing.
However, with many people claiming they have helped them to quit ITV’s Tonight programme asks how consumers are supposed to make an informed choice without clear information?
Society member Dr Lynne Dawkins, a Senior Lecturer in Psychology from the University of East London, who took part in the programme said:
“'E-cigarettes are the most significant public health opportunity of our time. They offer tremendous potential to reduce the death and disease caused by smoking'.
