just got back from a week in JA, third in a year probably.
and the battyman thing is getting out of control.
you never heard anybody talk about battyboy as much as a Jamaican.
Despite widespread poverty, illiteracy, predominant praedial larceny, corruption and a host of other hardships,.. apparently they care to voice nothing other than their wilingness to murder battyman.
Its gone from an undercurrent in the music/culture of JA to a political platform almost.

Dancehall's, like reggae, big in Japan. Haven't been to a night in Yokohama where a lot happens but Osaka fucking loves it, best dancing music on really.
I've got so much more on 7's that aren't even on the internet, I really should get around to ripping/uploading them eventually.

Was a real eye opener for me in terms of productions, when I heard it first out of context I thought it's mostly 2011 or so beats, most of it is late 90s early 00s though
