José Manuel Barroso wrote:“We will continue following closely these developments as well as assessing possible actions by the European Union and consequences for our relations with that country,”
Isn't that what the government wants? If EU takes the first step to end their relationship, the Ukrain government has 'won'. The EU has to stop with those threats, nobody takes them serious.

nowaysj wrote:Haha, rt coverage is so funny. Let me summarize: These protesters are terrorists.
tbf the government was legitimately elected and before all the madness went on it's only fault was to pick russia over the west/EU

therefore madting protests with extreme nationalist core ---> police getting violent and ott ---> protesters getting violent and ott ---> anarchy-ish

as far as i can tell

but i guess ppl r gonna have the viewpoint "lol look at how absurd russian news coverage of this issue is, thank god my news is impartial and tells me the real truth" etc...

What about imprisoning the old president for such a long time? Getting rid of their old constitution? Sounds like a bit more than just siding with Russia, unless that just comes with Russia's territory and you lump all that stuff under 'siding with Russia'...

yh that's true tbf. although she was tried in court and lost her appeal in court there's been a lot of controversy about those decisions. little down yanukovych for that one

david cameron's government's "law enforcement" killed an unarmed male civilian leading to mass rioting across the country tho

what do u mean?

if u wanna hear about a real madness you should check saudi arabia
The Al Saud dynasty holds a monopoly of power; political parties are banned and the opposition is organised from abroad

the beeb wrote:The demonstrations started when President Viktor Yanukovych backed out of a planned association agreement with the European Union in November 2013.

Pro-Western protesters took to the streets to try and force the president to reverse his decision - and then demanded his resignation.
the way the protestors and the opposition have been portrayed is a bit of a fuckry imo
