And hart trying to shield his family has clearly failed.

Rönin wrote:Okay so I really think Hart's daughter are seeing someone from the cult at school, first the dolls, then the sex drawings and if you look at the scene where Hart comes home to Rust having mowed his lawn there's a drawing of the spiral (same as the back of the victim + birds) hanging on the kitchen wall.
Ep.4 will probably be mostly action, there's talk of a gunfight with the crazy gasmask creep at the end of Ep.3
For Hart's daughters, I think it's a long shot.
Do you have a snapshot of the drawing on the kitchen wall? I did not see it. If you're right, that would corroborate your thesis (and also it would be a huge hint).

Yeah that's the one. I also think it's a long shot and maybe it doesn't hold as much meaning as I think, but then again everything feels deliberate in this show.
Also Rust appears to be the fedorists' new idol

I can't help myself looking at this thread and I've only watched the first 2. I can't describe how good this is. I actually like it enough to hold back and not blast through the first few.

Oh god. How did I forget about that woman in episode 2. Genuine WTF. How can anyone look like that? This show doesn't need pretty ladies but that blew my mind.

3 episodes in and it is somehow so re-watchable already. There are thing that are so much more poignant having seen later episodes, If it stays this good throughout the season I'll be impressed.

Hey Charlie... We're not gonna give you the Oscar no matter how hard you try...
Also that end scene had me on the edge of my seat for all its length. Based Fukunaga, this was just too good. If this show keeps going like it is now hbo might be delivering the best thing ever seen on TV
Ep 5 preview
Rust outside the interview room, oh boy here we go

Really liking this show at the moment, the characters are great. I probably wouldn't go as far to say its brilliant (although early days) and it hasn't got me hooked like House of Cards did. Characters are interesting but I keep thinking the whole detective thing has been done to death.
