just for the record, while i do not agree with the ideas of the muslim brotherhood, they have been ELECTED so its not like they have "forced" egyptian people to establish a muslim government... on the other hand one could argue the military coup that ousted them (again a democratically elected faction, regardless of what your opinion of them is...) is probably going against the will of the egyptian people so yeh

Heh, Kilburn high street branch is one of these. Mate tried to get the chicken and bacon and got knocked back. Not a big deal to miss out on poor-quality bacon one time but I'm not sure why it isn't enough for the people that way inclined to simply not order a sub with bacon in? Is it because the staff handle it and 'contaminate' the other ingredients etc?

never said the contrary, but how is that "forcing islam" on anyone, if people chose to elect an islamist party? also this cannot be looked at as if it happened in a vacuum (there's a lot to be said about the role the West played in the arab world during the second half of the 20th century, and how it may have pushed a lot of people towards Islamism as a reaction)

and i'm not downplaying the broader issue of hardcore islamists (mostly wahabbites and salafists) pushing their more hardcore, more intolerant interpretation of islam, but same can be said of hardcore/intolerant christians/jews/insert religious belief being more vocal than other christians/jews/insert religious belief who manage to not shove their faith down other people's throat, all i'm saying is hardcore intolerant believers trying to convert the rest of the world is in no way an exclusively muslim thing
