An absolute classic for me, at the time of release it was great value for money as there's a lot of rarities on this one, probably been re-issued separately since then.
Basically if you like Wu-Tang and soul sample based hip-hop this is the perfect comp to get a lot of the originals. Some rarities on there as well - so much so that until this year's repress the 2 volumes were going for mad money on Discogs. Good thing is that now you can get the 2 initial volumes plus the third one they added this year at a normal price.
Bumpin' this thread because yesterday saw the release of one of my most anticipated albums EVER.
14 years to follow up the masterpiece that was Voodoo.
I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am about this record.
Gonna have to wait a little longer to check it out myself as it looks like the vinyl version won't be out before February and I'd rather discover it properly the first time. Hell, I've been waiting for so long now, a couple of months more is nothing in this case
Anyway. I can imagine most people on dsf aren't too keen on this type of stuff, but seriously, if you're at least a little open-minded about music, you NEED to check this out. In 2014 you won't find anything better on the soul/funk tip.
yeah this is nang. going to go see him in manchester in feb

If you haven't seen him live before, you're in for a treat. Get ready to be mindblown and to move your feet. One the funkiest shows I've ever been to.

Hard to believe this was done recently. Such an 80's funk/boogie feel to it. LOVE IT
I'd forgotten that this is where I found out about Psychic Mirrors. I still listen to it all the time but why isn't there more of it, they only seem to have a handful of tunes.
It seems like all the Cosmic Chronic stuff stems from that same dude though.
