Shouldn't matter much, though. Amsterdam has everything. I'm sure you could find a gym where you pay as you go.

Plus, doing some hardcore bodyweight exercises could bridge you over. Wide armed and diamond push-ups, find a playing ground and do pull-ups,chin-ups and hanging leg raises on the bars, etc. Do squats by carrying someone on your shoulders

Can't seem to find anything about pay as you go on most sites tough.
