Tempa's best stuff was released before most people were calling it dubstep IMO.

To me it's a toss-up between Hotflush and Ghost.
Isn't this the exact same thing with Ghost as with DMZ? (if you are talking 'bout the El-B/Roxy/JDaFlex etc. label)

Tempa should really be there. I thought about this a few weeks ago and my answer was Skull Disco because of the consistency. But I'd have to say after a second thought it'd probably be DMZ. Even though I haven't enjoyed most of their post 2007 output, they are without a doubt the most influential, all three producers have their own sound that have in their own ways have influenced the scene. If you took away DMZ from the scene many labels (including the ones listed) wouldn't exist. Simply put I don't think it's possibly to like Dubstep (including brostep) and not like at least 3 DMZ 12"s.

I think all the labels mentioned in the poll are pretty overrated...like alot of dubstep labels tbh.
I'll be different and say Argon tho.

Arguably you wouldn't have had DMZ without Big Apple Records.

I think dubstep in general is seen as overrated by 99% of SNH. Most people active on here don't really both with post-2009 dubstep that much anymore, thats the general impression anyway.. hence why this thread isn't in General Discussion

also how come chestplate and tectonic aren't listed?
or planet mu

Planet mu isn't really a 'dubstep' label though. They did big things for it, but they've always been involved with other movements too.

that's some playground shit man
On topic. With Skull Disco, I've never got the fascination. Genuinely, a lot of the releases on there bore me. Gave them so many listens to try and understand, but I always just think "nah, I'll never listen to it". So much better, darker dubstep out there IMO.
