I smoke and outdoors is fine, but I avoid doing it around children.

Hate smoking inside so much.

Yep, football stands etc seems a little bit far to me too.

Hospitals are a bit of a debatable one for me... do people spend a lot of time hanging around outside hospitals if they're not smoking? Obviously people will pass-by on their way in and out, but you only really need to ban it if you're causing someone to be in clouds of smoke involuntarily for extended periods of time. We all walk through the odd cloud every time we walk down the street... seems like that one might be a little unfair on already miserable people (they're in hospital) just trying to have a moment away from whatever's brought them in.

Yeah I'm not convinced of the harm in smoking outside a hospital but I'm okay with a hospital looking to reinforce the smoking is bad idea by moving it away from entrances. Smokers in hospital do need to be accommodated though

why?

fucking hated going to family brunches/lunches/dinners with my ex cause like noone could smoke because of some overly sheltered kids. had to go out back even if it was held outside, so the kids won't see me smoking.

wait are you allowed to smoke at soccer games?

also a ban on all "public" smoking is wack as fuck

no youre not. people do though, it depends on the level of stewarding at grounds. some grounds have more heavy handed stewarding and some are more relaxed
in the away end you can usually get away with smoking.
there was a guy who used to smokes spliffs a few rows ahead of me at arsenal games but i think hes now had his season ticket taken off him

im a smoker. not doing it in public inside places (bars/ clubs etc.) i think has worked out pretty well
not doing it in front of hospitals etc, fair enough
they cant really ban it in general outside as it isnt harmful to anyone, dissipating up in the air so quickly
also i hide cigarettes in front of kids (obviously, what do you mean 'why?' ulstraspatial, lol)

In Spain you can smoke in stadiums, last Atletico match there was a guy a couple rows back who spent most of the game blazing spliffs.

Spliffs smell grim when you're not high, there's a slight smell of shit about them

Yeah, I do this. Kids seeing someone as cool as me with a rollie would send cancer rates soaring in a few decades.

I don't smoke cigs any more so I'll just smoke wherever I would have had a cig in the past.

kids are not gonna start smoking cause they see some random guy doing it. And if they do, fuck em it's on them. It's not like you're handing them one and making them smoke it

Yep, this. I fucking love smelling a little whiff coming over from somewhere.

My neighbours clearly don't... we've got used to the sound of windows closing when we spark up on the balcony.
