I haven't read these kinds of stories, but glad that they report this. He was a celebrity within our culture, so was notable. Many people in our culture are very casual about their drug use, and this kind of thing, imo, is a good reminder, or a wake up that even a casual usage can have significant consequences.

Ive never understood the use of heroin. I've never tried it and never will. Just think sticking a needle in yourself is grim as fuck. Horrible just thinking about it.

Yeah, do you think most heroin users start as addicts or is it more likely they start using recreationally.

There are functioning addicts and I know of at least one person that has used heroin occasionally for over 20 years.
