Yeah, I got busted and felt stupid. I was getting more into trying my hands at DJing.. But yeah freight bombs are where it's at and there are plenty of people over the age of 30 still doing it...pretty die hard but I respect that... Looking from the outside in, you could say that all of us DJs need to grow up as well. A bunch of grown ass men obsessed with an art form. It's just another dream to chase, a hobby if you will. Same shit, Except it involves possibly getting in trouble with the law which I suppose makes it immature? Thats what makes it all the more exciting though.

Oh and I highly doubt that cops would be looking on here unless they are really after someone.

Yeah 18 is still pretty young though...25-30 yes. But these guys that are world famous are all in their 30s. It involves a lot of getting bruised and cut and often times putting your life on the line all for pretty much nothing. Getting in trouble for it makes you feel pretty immature yes. I was about 21 when I quit. Still an admirer though.

This thread is stupid. The whole point of graffiti is that it's illegal. If people choose to do graffiti, it's their decision. Just because some of you got busted early or quit or whatever doesn't give you authoritative power.

I'm sure there are many active writers on this board who know better than to go for the shameless-self promotion of posting on the internet.

Doing graffiti after the age of 18 pretty much anywhere in the states except for New York is reasonably dangerous. Everyone has a friend who had his house raided, whatever. Also, people posting on this board are from all over the world, and graffiti laws are specific to their area.

In other words, just 'cause your friend quit because he was arrested or you have another friend that served time for graffiti does not mean someone wants your advice. You could kindly redirect the dood to 12oz or another graffiti site.

i disagree. for alot of writers it's a way of life. in a short few hour mission yiu can be socializing, vandalizing and adrenalizing (new word) all at the same time.

most of the sickest dubs and pieces you see are usually from people older than 18. developing you're style and technique takes years of practice although there are some sick kids out there.

and besides, if you get caught you're not doing it right 8)

and plenty of people who paint canvases also do graffiti. And vice versa.
