man you goto Europe on tour with a punk band and its all squats and community centers(ex squats) and they are all amazing and organised and generally not horrible

I never really was in the squat scene (lol) when up in Notts but I knew people who were and went to a few decent squat parties- one in a mansion, one after futureproof with appleblim and others DJing.

It's not just the punk scene either, there are loads of amazing squat venues for all sorts of nights. I played in an amazing squat venue in Berlin a few years back, you'd never have known it was a squat as it was so organised. Well the piles of rubble and tunnels leading off underground into darkness and nowhere kind of gave it away.
